Grab your latest bill and copy across the few numbers below — I’ll do the rest. There’s a little note under each one telling you where to find it.

🔒I read your bill on Joulely’s own servers, show you what I found, then delete it — I never store your bill or your numbers.
📈 Which bill is this?
Who you buy your energy from — optional.
Your electricity rates
What you pay for one unit of electricity — a “unit” is also called a “kWh”. Look for “unit rate” or “p per kWh” on your bill.
p / kWh
A fixed daily fee just to be connected. Look for “standing charge” or “p per day”.
p / day
Only if your bill shows it — often near “estimated annual”. Leave blank if you’re not sure.
kWh / yr
🔥 Your gas rates — only if you have gas
The price of each unit of gas — “p per kWh” on the gas part of your bill.
p / kWh
The fixed daily fee for gas.
p / day
Only if your bill shows it. Leave blank if you’re not sure.
kWh / yr
🏠 Where you live
It decides which regional price cap I compare your rates against. Bills don’t always print it, so pop it in if I haven’t.
💳 A couple more — optional
Your monthly direct debit. This lets me check it’s the right size for what you use.

Nothing here is saved. I only run the checks your numbers support, and I’ll never make up a figure.

🏠 That check covered a single bill A connected meter does this for your whole home, all on its own. Every month, off your real meter — so you never have to check by hand. Connect your meter →
Connecting your meter

This bill check needs no account and no meter — it works from the numbers on the bill in your hand.

What it can’t do is watch the months you don’t photograph. Connecting your smart meters is what lets the app run on your real usage — catching a direct debit that’s set too high, a rate that’s crept up, or a better deal the day it appears, and checking every bill for you.

The national network charges me for that meter data one meter at a time, so you pay per meter too: from £1.60 a month while your meter is connected (£1.60 for one meter, £2.70 for gas and electricity) — disconnect and you won’t be charged again. I take £0 commission if you switch, so I earn the same whoever you pick.

It is available now — connect your meter whenever you are ready.

I’ll only ever email you about Joulely — no spam, never shared, unsubscribe anytime. Your email is the only thing I keep — never linked to your bill.

This is plain guidance to help you spot overpaying — not formal financial advice. I only ever use the numbers you give me, and I compare them against the current Ofgem price cap. It’s free — I never charge you a penny.
